HOW HUMAN ARE WE?
So its middle of the night with clock striking almost 2, and i have just watched the most incredibly moving film i have ever seen and believe me i see a lot of movies. so what was the movie about?
movie was called "the elephant man". it was made in 1980 and i usually dont watch movies so old but well i had nothing to download so i downloaded it and now after watching it ,i could see why on the internet , this movie was so appreciated
it was about a man name joseph who suffered from a birth disease which had made her entire body look like that of an elephant. it was shown how harsh people were towards him how hard his life was and underneath al that physical deformity , was a sweet and caring man. i could say without being ashamed that this movie made me cry literally. i would recommend everyone to spare at least two hours of their busy life and watch this movie if possible and believe me if you are not moved after seeing this movie than you are not human
so what this story taught me since this movie was based on true life of a man . well we all see people with deformities in our life and do we really think about them?
we say god had done bad to them but what are we doing for them. we are laughing at them , making fun of them, or most commonly ignoring them. and believe me it is true.
a boy lives in my neighbourhood and he suffer from autism and i know it because i have heard about it but no one from my colony did. even his parents dont care too much and have accepted him for what he is.
he is often made the topic of fun and i have seen people laughing at him and making fun of him not even having a slightest idea of what he must be feeling inside and i really want to help him but what i do..NOTHING
i am just ignoring like everyone else.
as we grow mature we learn to ignore. what that shows? it just shows cruelty. of course you are not making fun of anyone but you r not doing anything at all.
don't ignore these people.they are part of us. they are just like everyone else but less fortunate. we often thinks that god is not fair to us , but if we think really then we will understand that we have more than enough.
love each another and be human.. in this world humanity is what the future is about. ignoring is not the answer.
